We still see questions sbout how Java and the LGPL license somehow magically behave differently than every other programming language and essentially cause GPL like virality. Of course this is nonsense from both our perspective as the copyright holders, and the FSF. Apparently this is a slashdot brain fart that has now reached urban legend status. To state our view clearly, usage via importing or subclassing of classes in an lgpl jar DOES NOT create a derivative of the lgpl jar that requires the application/library using the lgpl jar to be released under the LGPL.
