tfennelly Jun 27, 2007 5:56 AM (in response to kconner)Wonder would it be an idea to contribute this plugin to the mojo project.
In fact, there's already a "jboss-packaging-maven-plugin" plugin up there. It supports packaging of a sar through it's "jboss-packaging:sar" goal. Perhaps we could contribute this to that plugin at some point, adding a "jboss-packaging:esb" goal :-) -

Yes, why not? Are there any downsides? Sure, we may change the format later when we get to the next major rev of the ESB (5.0), but then that'll just be a new plugin, right? -
5. Re: Maven ESB plugin
tfennelly Jun 27, 2007 6:11 AM (in response to kconner)Sure, I think it makes sense.

kconner Jun 27, 2007 6:13 AM (in response to kconner)We may want to check with Paul first, to see what plans he has for hosting maven plugins. I'll get him to comment on this.

7. Re: Maven ESB plugin
marklittle Jun 27, 2007 6:24 AM (in response to kconner)OK, but seems like they're open for donations:
If you would like to contribute to the project, either through fixing an existing plugin or by donating a new plugin, contact us on the development mailing list or join us on irc at irc://irc.codehaus.org on #maven. -
8. Re: Maven ESB plugin
kconner Jun 27, 2007 6:30 AM (in response to kconner)I have no problem with it being hosted somewhere else, I would just like to hear Paul's opinion before going forward :)

9. Re: Maven ESB plugin
pgier Jun 27, 2007 11:20 AM (in response to kconner)Sounds fine to me. The plugin will probably get more exposure hosted by codehaus. Eventually I would like to have a setup similar to codehaus on jboss.org so that we can more easily generate the site content and deploy new releases and related information. But until then, it probably makes more sense to have codehaus host the plugin.

jplenhart Oct 1, 2007 2:25 PM (in response to kconner)Did this ever go on the mojo site?
I do not see it in the jboss repository.
Thanks,

12. Re: Maven ESB plugin
kconner Oct 2, 2007 4:46 AM (in response to kconner)It was registered in their JIRA some time ago but nothing has been done with it, http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MOJO-841.
For now you can obtain it from the jboss snapshot repository using the following<pluginRepository> <releases> <enabled>false</enabled> </releases> <snapshots /> <id>jboss-snapshots</id> <name>JBoss Snapshot Plugin Repository</name> <url>http://snapshots.jboss.org/maven2</url> </pluginRepository>

jplenhart Oct 2, 2007 11:34 AM (in response to kconner)Hola,
<plugin> <groupId>org.jboss.maven.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-jboss-esb-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> <extensions>true</extensions> </plugin>
I do not see this plugin within http://repository.jboss.org/maven2
when I browse - is this the correct plugin? -

It is the correct plugin but you are using the wrong repository. Use the repository from my previous post.
