Is there a guide somewhere detaling how to deploy 3.2.1 to tomcat 5.0.28,
Try starting with http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JbpmOnTomcatOracle -

mputz Jul 13, 2007 6:12 AM (in response to rossputin)I've also checked if the instructions on
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JbpmOnTomcat
are still valid for jBPM 3.2.1 and made some minor changes where necessary, so this could also help to get you started! -

rossputin Jul 16, 2007 6:50 AM (in response to rossputin)Hi,
most things seem to be straight forward to follow using the aproach detailed in http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JbpmOnTomcat, but on tomcat 5.0.28 I am getting the following error when accessing the webapp...
2007-07-16 11:30:03 StandardContext[/jbpm-console]Error configuring application listener of class com.sun.faces.config.ConfigureListener
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/el/ExpressionFactory
at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Class.java:2328)
at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Class.java:2640)
at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:321)
at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:303)
Am I required to use a later version than 5.0.28 which is what my company are currently standardised on, or is there a jar file I can simply put in place to fix this ?
Thanks for your help,
Ross -
4. Re: deploying jbpm-jpdl-3.2.1 to tomcat 5.0.28 with/without
mputz Jul 16, 2007 7:23 AM (in response to rossputin)Ross,
as TC 5.0.28 doesn't include the el*.jars by default as the TC 6.0 series does, you will have to repackage el-api.jar and el-ri.jar back into jbpm-console.war/WEB-INF/lib (these files get deleted by the ant call described in step 2.1 of the wiki and can be found in the original web app jbpm-jpdl-3.2.1/deploy/jbpm-console.war/WEB-INF/lib).
In addition, the included xml parses make problems as well, so you will also have to replace/delete the content in common/endorsed.
Please let me know if you encounter any additional issues. -
