1. Re: JBoss ESB Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Machine Image (AMI)
goldmann Apr 22, 2010 3:14 AM (in response to ingedeut)Hi Younes,
Answering your questions.
- Not I know of. Please ask directly on JBoss ESB.
- I think not.
- -
- It's really easy. Use BoxGrinder.
- See BoxGrinder Build | Quick Start.
In general the process is to create a RPM with JBoss ESB, create a local repository, add this repository to your BoxGrinder Build | Appliance Definition File and run BoxGrinder.
If you preapre the bits we're happy to to add it to StormFolio!
HTH, sorry for late response!

goldmann Apr 22, 2010 3:42 AM (in response to ingedeut)See here. RPM is the way we at Red Hat package software.
Bo build an RPM you need to create a spec file like this (this specific is for GateIn) and then run rpmbuild command. Cantiere project could help you with that. Consult StormGrind | Cantiere | Using Cantiere wiki page.

5. Re: JBoss ESB Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Machine Image (AMI)
goldmann Apr 22, 2010 3:56 AM (in response to ingedeut)BoxGrinder doesn't supports building images for Ubuntu. In the future versions we'll allow to write a plugin for your favourite OS.
We're Red Hat, we love our kid – Fedora

7. Re: JBoss ESB Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Machine Image (AMI)
goldmann Apr 22, 2010 4:09 AM (in response to ingedeut)I would suggest F11 or F12 (but for EC2 – F11 is better). Fedora is of course here. But you only need to specify this version in BoxGrinder Build | Appliance Definition File and dependencies will be downloaded. Best way to start building images using BoxGrinder is to use BoxGrinder Build | Preparing Environment To Build Images.
