1. Re: WebAppController REST : 404, no resource match, for url with portalcontroller
haint May 14, 2012 1:05 AM (in response to antoine_h)Rest service point to /rest/* request path. So what is the exact problem you want to resolve?

2. Re: WebAppController REST : 404, no resource match, for url with portalcontroller
antoine_h May 14, 2012 1:31 AM (in response to haint)Yes, sorry, this is another prefix for another portal container rest service
I have no answer when I use also : http:/localhost:8080/rest/private/portalcontroller
anyway I try, I get only the response : "There is no any resources matched to request path /portalcontroller"
=> how can I investigate for the access to the rest service of the WebAppController.
Thank you,
Antoine

trong.tran May 14, 2012 2:53 AM (in response to antoine_h)1 of 1 people found this helpfulAll services annotated to be @managed will be exposed via Rest endpoint : http://localhost/[portal/]rest/management.
that means you probably want to go to http://localhost/[portal/]rest/management/portalcontroller

4. Re: WebAppController REST : 404, no resource match, for url with portalcontroller
antoine_h May 14, 2012 4:18 AM (in response to trong.tran)Thanks.
I tried it.
I tried :
http://localhost/portal/rest/management
or
http://localhost/rest/management
and others with my other PortalContainers
the response I get is only :
{}
(open and closed brackets).
Does it mean that there are no Rest services exposed ?
(even though the POM management, with http://localhost:8080/rest/managed-components is working).
******
when I try :
http://localhost/portal/rest/management/portalcontroller
the response is :
"GET method is not allowed for resource /management/portalcontroller"
******
what are the main classes involved in the management of the REST services ?
And the classes that manage the requests (and request dispatching and execution to the service) ?
I may try some debug mode, with those, to see what are the services, etc...

Thank you for any clue or idea...
Antoine

5. Re: WebAppController REST : 404, no resource match, for url with portalcontroller
haint May 14, 2012 4:28 AM (in response to antoine_h)You need authenticate before use /management. The entry point of /management is RestManagementProvider

ndkhoiits May 14, 2012 4:28 AM (in response to antoine_h)1 of 1 people found this helpfulThese services are protected resources and only accessed by Administrator, if you want to see all exposed service like that, you have to loggin as an administrator (root user for instance)

7. Re: WebAppController REST : 404, no resource match, for url with portalcontroller
antoine_h May 14, 2012 5:18 AM (in response to ndkhoiits)ok !
I was logged as root, but in another tab of the same Firefox.
It seems not to be enough.
I logged in the same tab (window) of Firefox, then went to the URL of the portalcontroller... and it works.
I checked it : it is not enough to be logged in another tab. The authentifiaction and session seems to be linked specifically to each tab.
Thanks a lot.
