1. Re: MicroStrategy Tool or SqlServerManagement studio connectivity to VDB

Yes, you can connect with the MicroStrategy using JDBC. This has been verified before. However I do not know about specifics on how to do this. You need to consult their documentation. SqlServer Management Studio, I have not heard of, if they support external sources using JDBC/ODBC driver then Yes, it should be possible.

m.ardito Feb 13, 2017 4:45 PM (in response to sanjay_chaturvedi)Can it be connectable from Sqlservermanagement studio.
If you wish to try this, you should explore the "linked servers" feature of SQL server management tools... you create a "Linked server" by establishing an ODBC connection (use postgresql ODBC driver to connect to Teiid server), then you can use it.
Imho, it is easy to setup, but all but simple to use this tool, though... it's not an integration tool, I tried but it then I gave up,also due to performances... I did differently. (Teiid is just magic, instead)

sanjay_chaturvedi Feb 26, 2017 10:02 PM (in response to m.ardito)Well, I got it working but option selection was different.
Select Hadoop >> Impala >> Change the definition to put Teiid connection url and driver information. and it worked. Dont be confused with driver selected as ODBC.
